About Me

Hi, I’m Lora! I’m Korean by blood, but spent my entire childhood in Mexico and some years in the US. This has made me feel Korea like a foreign country rather than my home country, even though I’m currently based in Korea.

Just like many people, I was always told to get good grades in school, go to a good college, and get a job. I did all those things, but was I fulfilled with everything I achieved? With the same work-home routine? Not really.

I was mostly stressed by the fact that I wasn’t getting enough vacation days. Excluding national holidays, I barely got 5 to 7 days off per year. The only thing I could do to make up for my stressful days was to go on day trips. I’d go see an exhibition, try an exotic drink, or find new themed cafés just to make up for the time I felt I lost during the week.

I have always been thankful to have had a great childhood full of travel, but started appreciating those moments even more once I graduated college. It isn’t always easy to make time to travel. Then one day I asked myself the following questions: Why can’t I do what I love? Is having a 9-6 job really worth my 20s?

These questions were stuck in my mind for a long time, and decided to take action. If I don’t do anything, nothing will happen, right? That’s why I started this blog.

Traveling and visiting new places have always been my passion and I’m here to share that experience with you. I hope my website is the go-to guide when it comes to traveling! I’m starting my journey in Seoul, Korea. From historic and monumental places to restaurants and cafés. Come explore corners with me!
